About Remade South-East

Remade South East is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee and has a Board of Non-Executive Directors and a Steering Group made up of representatives from the public and private sectors from across the South East region.

Remade works closely with the South East of England Development Agency (SEEDA), the Government Office of the South East (GOSE), Kent County Council, Surrey County Council, Medway Council, Waste Resource Action Plan (WRAP), Business Link, PPR Wipag, University of Greenwich and other representatives of the public and private sectors. These links allow the programme to target the most likely areas for market development and to support economic development, working effectively with others across the region.

The aim of the company is to expand waste market development activities across the whole of the South East of England. The Programme creates and sustains new markets for waste resources in order to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill and to minimise CO2 emissions through the re-use and recycling of materials.

Remade South East obtains its funding from a combination of sources including central government regional support organisations, local authorities and private sector companies. Some projects are funded directly with European environmental funds. Remade comprises of a highly skilled team who manage a high profile portfolio of projects. The programme delivers a number of innovative projects which divert high levels of waste away from landfill and generate new economic activity.
