Food Waste
Remade South East is managing a three-year South East-wide initiative (2009-2012) to operate demonstration trials to test the collection and treatment of commercial food waste with the aim of reducing waste going to landfill.
A series of collections and in-situ trials are being operated to compare and contrast food waste systems, and recommendations will be made on the most economically and environmentally beneficial schemes for micro and small businesses.
The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) & South East England Development Agency (SEEDA).
